This year my oldest child wants to go trick or treating by herself. That makes me sad because this is something we have always done as a family. I understand she is getting older and wants to have fun with her friends but I miss when she wanted to do things like this with me. It’s true that I can’t keep her a small child forever, unfortunately, but I just want to hang on a little longer. I suppose I should let her go with her friends but it will be an extremely stressful night for me. Again, I know she is getting older but I will be worried about her being out at night with no adults. I guess I am just a cell phone call away if she needs me but geeze can’t the kids just stay little a tad bit longer?
