Ornament Junkie
I am a self proclaimed Christmas Ornament Junkie!!! I love Christmas Ornaments. I can’t get enough of them. I buy more every single year and end up with bulbs that I can’t even use because I have so many. I need to get like a 7 and 1/2 foot tree that is the same around so that I can fit all of my ornaments. But I love a tree with a lot of ornaments. I do mean A LOT of ornaments. There are so many different kinds of ornaments. I have glass balls, plastic balls, and styrofoam balls. I have homemade ornaments and store bought ornaments. I have the typical teddy bears and Santa Clauses to non traditional theme ornaments such as the Cat in the Hat ornaments. I love them all and it’s gotten to the point that I have to avoid that part of the store all together when I am shopping because I can barely contain myself.
I do not have a theme for my tree nor do I have my tree all in one color. I haven’t done a single color on my tree in many years. Not since my ornament addiction began. You laugh but you should see my tree. It is very colorful and full of decorations. I don’t even have a single color for lights. I have both white and pink lights on my tree as well as silver garland. I have been full of color the last several christmas’s.
My bulb addiction started a few years ago when I went to a thrift store and found these really cool green ornaments with peace signs and love writen on them in glitter. I had to have them. They were the coolest things I had ever seen. I then began searching for these kinds of decorations every year before and after Christmas at thrift stores and discount stores. I have probably close to 15 bulbs that I bought two years ago at The Dollar Tree as well as Knick Knacks ( but that’s a whole other addiction ). I have bought them from Good Will and even from WalMart and Big Lots. I have tons of them. I mean I have container after container full of ornaments. It’s my personal weakness. Superman has kryptonite I have Christmas ornaments…LOL. Any way, I am always on the look out for good ornaments I hope you have the ones you like too.

I have a lot of ornaments also, but probably not as many as you. Don’t get upset with me, but I haven’t done a tree every year. Like this year with my husband recuperating from surgery, there just hasn’t been time to think about it. But, on the years that I do a big tree, I do alternate them. I mean, I have the tree that has all different ornaments (traditional), I use white lites, red plaid bows and red beads or stringed cranberryies and popcorn. Then some years I do a particular color or three colors and match them to the bows I’m using. Babies breath is pretty also to use between the branches. Fun stuff.
